This technology-enhanced curricular unit is meant to supplement Chapter 6B of Prentice Hall’s Realidades B Spanish program.

 

Level: Low Novice

Grade: 8

Title: ¿Cómo es tu casa?

Vocabulary:

  • Rooms in a house
  • Household chores

Grammar:

  • Affirmative tú commands
  • The present progressive tense

Chapter Objectives:

  • To tell someone to do something
  • To say what someone is doing
  • To identify rooms in a house
  • To name household chores
  • To understand cultural perspectives on different types of housing

Sequence of Unit Lessons:

 

  • Present vocabulary via TPR and pictures (not addressed in unit).
  • View Video from Realidades program (not specifically addressed in the unit, but a similar process to the one I’ve described in “Video analysis”, above, could be used).
  • Other games, paired activities, workbook book assignments, etc. from Realidades program (not addressed I unit)
  • View video mystery from Realidades program, then do Hot Potato Quiz
  • Evaluation (not addressed in unit)
